
Terms & Conditions – Handmade Stationery
1.Placing your order
1.1 Before ordering wedding stationery you should contact me to discuss your requirements as all stationery can be customised and personalised. I will work with you to ensure that you are entirely happy with the design you have chosen and will agree a mutually acceptable delivery date.
1.2 Before ordering stationery we suggest you browse through all the information contained on this website. At the time of ordering, please ensure you know the following details:
Name of the design
Colour and design of the card
The colour of the ribbon/design you would like
Quantities of each card type
Wording for the inserts (although these can be supplied at a later date)
The style of lettering you would like
Once your order is received we will contact you to confirm the details and provide you with a quotation. We will also discuss and agree a suitable delivery date with you. You should place your order at least 10-12 weeks before the delivery date, however this can be less depending on the size of the order. A minimum 50% deposit will also be required at this time.
1.3 Before your order is confirmed we will contact you to check all the details, including the order value. Once you have accepted these details. A deposit of 50% of the order value will be payable at this time.
1.4 Once your order is confirmed we will work with you to design your wording panels, and a PDF proof will be emailed to you for your approval. On approval of the proof, 1 fully maid up mock-up will be sent to you by Royal Mail. This will be an exact replica of your item and is your opportunity to ensure that you are happy with the design and the content. Any spelling, grammatical or detail errors are the responsibility of the client. Once you are happy with the design, we will make up the rest of your order. Please note that the sample sent to you will be included in your final number, i.e. if you order 50 items, you will be sent a further 49.
The remaining balance will be due before we commence work on your final items.
2.When to place your Order
As all the stationery is handmade, we require at least 8-10 weeks between receipt of your order (including agreement of the details and receipt of deposit) and the agreed delivery date. This may be varied depending on the size of the order, subject to mutual agreement.
3.Terms for personalised stationery
3.1 Final details for invitations (for example guest names, venue details etc) are required 21 days prior to the agreed delivery date.
3.2 If you choose to delay the delivery of wedding day stationery, as detailed below, until closer to the wedding date then please note that the personal information for these items (e.g. menu details and place names) is required at least 21 days prior to the date of the wedding.
4.Delivery
4.1 Deliveries are made by Secure Over Night Courier. A charge of £8.99 is payable for all deliveries.
4.2 Deliveries for stationery and wedding day stationery (e.g. orders of service, place cards etc) will usually be made at the same time (on the agreed delivery date). However, if you require the wedding day stationery to be delivered nearer to your wedding date then this can be arranged for an additional £8.99 delivery charge. Please note that in this case all personal information for the wedding day stationery is required at least 21 days prior to the wedding date.
4.3 Deliveries made to addresses outside the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland will incur additional delivery charges.
4.4 Additional delivery charges may be made for rush order or for orders which incur delays due to lack of required or complete information from you.
5.Payment
Payment is to be made by BACS or Online Transaction.
6.Cancellations
6.1 In the unfortunate event that you should have to cancel or postpone your order then the following cancellation charges will apply:
If no order has been placed, a full refund will be given
If stock has been ordered, but no work started, a refund of the amount minus the stock cost will be given. You may keep the stock you have paid for.
If work has started on your order, no refund will be given.
7.Amendments
7.1 Additional items ordered after your original order will be priced as a new order. Delivery charges will only apply if these additional items are delivered separately to the original order.
7.2 Significant amendments to your order that incur additional costs (such as a change in design which causes the purchase of additional materials) will be chargeable and must be paid prior to the changes taking effect.
7.3 Whilst we will try to accommodate your amendments please be aware that the stationery is handmade and can often take several weeks to prepare. We therefore reserve the right to reject certain change requests if there is insufficient time to make them.
8.Other conditions
8.1 All stationery will bear make-it-personal details on the reverse in subtle design.
8.2 Customers should note that all stationery is handmade and slight variations may sometimes occur in colour, size, shape and design.
Terms and Conditions - Photobooks
1. Order acceptance
All orders are accepted and handled in accordance with the conditions below. The customer accepts these conditions by placing an order for any photobook with make-it-personal.com.
On accepting a quotation a 50% payment will be required before work begins, the remaining amount will be billed upon approval of the final proof and before the photobook is sent to print.
After fulfilling the order, the file provided by the customer will be stored on the make-it-personal server for 1 month. This is to enable the customer to order further copies of the album at a later stage.
2. Copyright
The customer is responsible for the contents of the submitted file. Make-it-personal does not accept responsibility for the contents of the file.
Make-it-personal assumes that the copyright in the file is held by the customer. The customer bears sole responsibility for unauthorised use of protected data. When ordering and, where relevant, distributing the printed products the customer shall strictly observe the laws of the relevant country.
3. Liability
Make-it-personal shall not accept liability for damage or loss of the files. Make-it-personal emphasises that the quality of the prints in the photobooks ordered will never be better than is to be expected on the basis of what the customer sees on his/her computer monitor when scans are supplied/viewed. Make-it-personal liability is limited to production errors attributable to it.
4. Delivery time
All orders are completed within 6 weeks, unless otherwise specified. Delayed delivery shall never be a reason for cancellation of the order or compensation.
5. Guarantee
Any justified complaints shall be made within 2 weeks of the delivery of the materials ordered by the customer. If the complaint is justified the remedy shall be limited to producing the ordered materials again.
